Successful Marketing has helped Nepal Tourism Board conducted successful Destination Promotion Programs in three cities of China: Jinan in Shandong Province, Nanjing in Jiangsu and Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province of China on May 6, 8 and 10, 2019, respectively.
China is a fast-growing value market for Nepal. As the world’s biggest outbound tourism market and top tourism spender, China has been perceived as a highly potential tourism market for generating arrival numbers for Visit Nepal 2020.
In the year of 2018, China outbound tourist arrivals total of 149.72 million, contributing to the economic development of the local area. China remains the world’s biggest market in outbound tourism. The total amount of overseas consumption related to tourism in 2018 was not clear but the academy estimated that it can reach as high as $120 billion, helping invigorate the world’s economy.
The program platforms are expected to be ideal to showcase Nepal as a premier holiday destination through fresh communications and promotion, to get more tourists from these regions of China.
Through our promotion events the attendees have learned about the rich tourism resources in Nepal and the efforts that Nepal government has done and will do to improve Chinese tourists’ travel experience, and expressed the interest in sending more tourists to Nepal and promoting Nepal more.
The local government authorities and tourism associations have expressed the will to cooperate with Nepal.
